Capital Factory has launched and run investment vehicles through AngelList since 2017, starting with Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), calling capital quarterly with Rolling Funds, and launching annual vintages of traditionally structured Venture Funds. With 750+ portfolio companies and 600+ limited partners (LPs), Capital Factory relies on AngelList to scale their operations.
In 2024, Capital Factory devised a new fund thesis and began planning to raise heading into 2025. They’d been longtime customers of AngelList leveraging SPVs and Rolling Funds, but had another tech-enabled fund administrator running several traditional venture capital funds in their portfolio. As firm operations scaled, that provider’s customer service declined, with automated tech solutions over tailored service and relationship management. Capital Factory started experiencing delays in response time and resolutions when it came to inquiries to their support team. In addition, Capital Factory was suddenly facing increasing annual administrative fees for existing funds. Re-negotiating operational costs took time and energy from the team when they’d ideally focus on investments.
Beyond operational hurdles, Capital Factory wanted a fund management partner who could provide strategic advice on all aspects of fund operations to best serve their current and long-term goals. Without a reliable infrastructure, Capital Factory risked making suboptimal decisions that could impact their ability to deploy capital efficiently and maintain investor relationships.
Capital Factory began planning the launch of their next venture fund and tapped AngelList as the fund administrator. Dedicated LP Relations, GP Relations, and operations experts at AngelList reviewed their unique Limited Partner Agreement (LPA) and fund documents to validate that the platform could support their tailored workflows, then quickly set out to plan the launch.
With a platform and team designed to scale with growing venture firms, AngelList delivered immediate and measurable improvements in fund operations.
In May 2025, Capital Factory encountered a unique and tight deadline for a large wire transfer and their dedicated AngelList account management team did the impossible in the eleventh hour, pushing it through with precision and speed to save the deal. The pace of responsiveness and competence on that high-stakes transaction exemplified the white-glove service that sets AngelList apart, with Capital Factory stating it’s “why we are such big fans of AngelList and continue to recommend AngelList to all we work with”. On average, 97% of customer inquiries to AngelList are addressed within 1 business day.
In addition to the critical service layer, Capital Factory preferred the AngelList platform for the unified, enhanced LP experience. The streamlined platform and fund operations saved their team 9 hours/week in operational burden, allowing them to focus on investing in entrepreneurs and their LP relationships.
Capital Factory now has crystal clear visibility into fund administration expenses, as AngelList keeps pricing stable throughout the fund lifecycle. That lets Capital Factory stay focused on their portfolio in outer years, rather than having to worry about re-negotiating terms.
Our relationship with Capital Factory has been foundational, and AngelList made the mechanics of their $10M investment into Paradromics seamless. That kind of operational reliability matters. It signals that the right partners are aligned around what you're building.
Capital Factory's partnership with AngelList illustrates the breakthrough impact of choosing the right fund management partner for multiple investment vehicles. Capital Factory can launch and scale Venture Funds, SPVs, and Rolling Funds efficiently while maintaining operational excellence. That frees up critical resources for the firm to focus on its mission: helping entrepreneurs launch–and level up–their companies.
