AngelList allows people to invest in world-changing startups. But to do so effectively, investors and fund managers must educate themselves on the nuances and intricacies of venture capital. That’s why today we’re launching the AngelList Venture Education Center.
The Venture Education Center is a content library and resource hub where new and emerging investors and fund managers can learn about the basics of investing in startups, venture economics, and legal and regulatory requirements.
The Education Center will launch with two verticals:
The former contains guides and best practices around portfolio management, workflows, and investment strategy. The latter is a dictionary designed to help investors learn the lingo of venture capital.
Our content seeks to answer some of the most common questions asked to us by AngelList investors and fund managers, such as “what fees do I have to pay?”, “how do I calculate my return?”, and “how do I determine the valuation of a startup?” Our goal is to deconstruct the complexities surrounding venture capital and put it in layman’s terms, so that more individuals can approach angel investing confidently.
The Venture Education Center will be updated over time with new content and assets addressing our users’ most pressing questions. Our aim is to build the definitive, comprehensive source for all things venture capital on the internet.
We see education as an extension of our mission to make angel investing more accessible. We look forward to helping more individuals make inroads into the world of venture capital.
