Announcing: Simple Fund Migration

Switching fund administration platforms isn’t easy. GPs need to onboard their LPs to a new platform and migrate historical financial, tax, and legal information, all while maintaining compliance with KYC and AML regulations. There are also tax filings, SEC reporting requirements, expense accruals, and LP side letters to keep track of.

Today we’re simplifying this process with the launch of Fund Migration. AngelList will manage all components of fund importing, including reviewing and moving fund (or SPV) data from legacy fund administrators and onboarding LPs to their investor dashboards.

GPs simply grant AngelList access to their fund admin account—we’ll export, review, and transfer all required information in as little as a week.

Once the transition is complete, we provide a universal link for LPs to view their positions in their AngelList investor dashboard. They’ll have immediate access to a schedule of investments, updated valuations (with GPs’ permission), and a portal to download K-1s and view capital accounts.

GPs can improve their LP experience by upgrading to a full-stack back-office for their fund with AngelList. We’re also able to transition SPVs to help minimize compounding admin and tax (K-1 & 1065) preparation fees.
