This is a senior individual contributor role. You will lead through review authority and coaching, helping Associates and Senior Associates grow into complex review work.
Review complex partnership returns and Schedules K-1, including tiered funds, blockers, and carried interest structures
Apply §704(b), §704(c), and partnership agreement waterfall provisions, and confirm allocations before estimates and K-1s go out

Validate new system builds with Engineering by defining expected results and testing them
Coach Associates and Senior Associates through review notes and training
Find where AI and automation can reduce manual review, and work with Engineering to ship it
5+ years of partnership tax experience in public accounting, fund administration, or industry, ideally with venture capital or private equity funds
Review experience on complex Forms 1065 and Schedules K-1
Hands-on experience with §704(b)/§704(c) allocations and carry waterfalls
Working knowledge of foreign partner withholding, PFIC, and multi-state filings
Clear written communication, including tax positions for non-tax readers
An instinct to question existing processes and use AI and automation to build better ones
CPA, EA, or attorney admitted in a U.S. jurisdiction, or progress toward one
