I studied Philosophy, Economics, and played baseball at the University of Chicago. Afterward, I worked in investment banking at a boutique shop in New York focusing on Tech M&A. Before joining AngelList, I lived on a bicycle for 18 months, during which I did cross-country rides and ran a consulting business that helped startups secure funding.
Through my work with early-stage companies, I found that many brilliant people with great ideas struggle with fundraising and navigating an unfamiliar world. I strongly believe in making the fundraising process easier for founders.

Investment banking has equipped me with the ability to work long hours when necessary. It also provided numerous opportunities to meet entrepreneurs selling their businesses, allowing me to interact with both investors and founders simultaneously.
