I believe in builders: founders, engineers, and everyone bold enough to create something new. Our mission is to make starting and scaling a fund or startup radically easier, and that shows up in every technical challenge we take on: reimagining financial infrastructure, simplifying onboarding, and architecting systems. Our engineers aren't just writing code. They're shaping how innovation happens.

I love the autonomy to just get shit done with minimal meetings and red tape. I'm spoiled working with experienced, generous engineers without egos. I've tackled diverse challenges, from building internal workflow tools to deep-diving document infrastructure that handles millions of legal documents.

A third of our engineers have started software companies, and that culture shows up in how we work: fast-moving, low-ego, and focused on customer impact. I'm leading funds and finance engineering, solving tough problems that quietly power the startup economy, and I love seeing how our work enables first-order outcomes for startups and investors.

I led the tax engineering team for two years. My team allows 10 full-time tax professionals to issue 300,000 K-1s/year. AL empowered me to serve as the CEO of a startup within a startup. Now I've taken on a new project to expand our software to support enterprise funds. There's something special about having that level of responsibility and autonomy, while also having coworkers who are VC/startup veterans there to coach me and catch me when I fell.

There's a strong culture of experimentation where new approaches aren't just welcomed, they're encouraged. AngelList also has a unique perk called 'Founders and Funders' that let me write angel cheques through our employee venture fund. I never expected to start my angel investing journey during my first full-time role, but working here made that possible.
