Historically, AngelList has focused on providing fund managers with an all-in-one software and service solution to launch SPVs, venture funds, and rolling funds. A key element of this solution has been AngelList’s strategic partnership with our homegrown fund administrator, Belltower – a collaboration that has provided GPs with a single partner to streamline fund formation, reporting, taxes, and more.

In the last few months, we’ve made significant strides to evolve our fund offerings, including launching our software suite. This software suite is designed for private markets firms that are looking to maintain their current fund administrator but want to leverage AngelList’s world-class software to modernize their fund management stack. We designed this software suite to accommodate ever-growing investor, portfolio, and financial management needs, as well as meet increasing regulatory demands.

However, in conversations with General Partners, CFOs, and COOs, we also started to see more and more instances where firms were looking to transition to a new administrator – most often as they launched a new fund, but occasionally while they were mid-flight with an existing fund.

We are committed to serving all firms within private markets—whether a $150M venture fund, a $500M private equity fund, a native crypto fund, or otherwise—throughout their investment journeys.

To that end, we are excited to announce AngelList’s Preferred Partner Program. The goal of this program is to make it even easier for funds to use AngelList's best-in-class software, regardless of which fund administrator they decide to partner with.

Program Overview

AngelList’s Preferred Partner Program provides firms the ability to seamlessly use AngelList’s investor, financial, and portfolio management software with whichever fund admin is best able to support the nuances and needs of their fund.

We’ve carefully curated the partners in this program to ensure that no matter your fund size or thesis, you’ll be able to work with a top-tier fund administrator and still take advantage of the AngelList platform.

As of today, we’ve formed relationships with four core fund administration partners:

  • ‍Belltower - Founded in 2019 as AngelList’s native fund admin, Belltower will become an independent entity at the end of 2023. It currently supports $16B+ in AUM across 61K+ investment entities. Belltower’s speciality is bringing a tech-forward approach to service venture firms with less than $150M AUM. ‍
  • 4Pines - 4Pines provides high-touch service coupled with advanced technology solutions for private equity, venture capital, and fund-of-funds. ‍
  • Cornerstone - Cornerstone tackles the complex tasks involved in running a venture fund by providing fund managers with customized outsourced-CFO and back-office administration solutions – ensuring that General Partners can focus on fundraising and investing.
  • ‍MG Stover - MG Stover launched in 2007 to serve hedge, private equity, venture capital, and digital asset firms worldwide. It provides boutique, custom-created and technology-driven solutions to ensure institutional-grade service for funds of all sizes.

Get Started

As the market changes, the needs of fund managers continue to evolve. AngelList will maintain our laser focus on addressing these needs by pairing our best-in-class software with the premium services offered by top-tier private markets fund administrators.

Now, with AngelList’s Preferred Partner Program, the AngelList platform can support any private markets fund no matter its size or thesis.
